Graduate Student Experience Workshop
15 November 2017 | UC – Berkeley
Whether your institution is administering gradSERU, considering it for the first-time, or you are simply interested in learning more about contemporary graduate and professional education research, everything you need to know about CSHE’s graduate education efforts can be learned at the SERU Graduate Student Experience Workshop. With practical learning and insights from the gradSERU Survey and opportunities to network with leaders in graduate education research and administration from around the world, the SERU Graduate Student Experience Workshop should not be missed.
SERU is dedicated to the study of the student experience in the research university and the gradSERU represents our effort to expand our efforts beyond the baccalaureate degree. For those new to gradSERU the workshop offers the opportunity to learn more about the SERU Consortium’s effort to better understand the student experience of graduate and professional students at leading research universities around the world, whilst those familiar with SERU and the gradSERU Survey will learn how other institutions are using and implementing gradSERU to help promote graduate education initiatives. We hope to demonstrate the real value of gradSERU is bringing to participating institutions and exploring how it can better fit the needs of today’s graduate and professional schools.
Workshop participants are also invited to attend the University of California’s Center for Studies in Higher Education New Nationalism and Universities Conference on November 16-17, 2017. Gathering CSHE alumni and affiliated researchers, along with leading scholars and practitioners from throughout the world, this conference will provide an opportunity to consider global perspectives on politics, policy and the future of higher education.
